Five members of the Opera Studio took part in a new production of Benjamin Britten's first work for the stage, Paul Bunyan, directed by one of the finest singers in the world, who then became a renowned director, Brigitte Fassbaender at the beginning of the season. Now all members of the Opera Studio take part in the first »Soiree« of the season:

„concerts under an Italian evening sky ... Enrico Caruso ... the »three tenors« …“ – brings to mind the well known Neapolitan songs by Francesco Paolo Tosti, who died 100 years ago. Some of his works and arias from Italian operatic repertoire feature in the programme: taking part are the sopranos Alison King and Elizabeth Sutphen, the mezzo-soprano Julia Dawson, tenor Ingyu Hwang, baritone Ludwig Mittelhammer and bass-baritone Thesele Kemane, accompanied by the new music director of the Opera Studio Felice Venanzoni.
Concerts series by young singers in our Opera Studio continues in the 2016/17 season.
