Hannah Dewor studied modern and contemporary dance in Cologne and Amsterdam, gaining her masters in Contemporary Dance Education at the University for Music & the Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main in 2012, since when she has been working there as a dancer, choreographer and teacher.  While busy on the free dance scene (including the Yves Thuwis de Leew/Nevski Prospect, Richard Siegal/The Bakery) she started dancing at Oper Frankfurt in 2015, most recently in The Merry Widow and Dialogues des Carmélites, and now in the first revival of our new Elektra. In 2022 she was engaged for the opera il viaggio, Dante (dir: Claus Guth) at the Festival d`Aix-en-Provence. Something central to her work is working on contemporary dance with mixed ability groups.  From 2014 - mid-2022 she and the choreographer Jungyeon Kim were responsible for the artistic direction of the mixed-abled Ensemble Barefeet, whose productions have been seen at the Gallus Theater in Frankfurt and Landestheater in Neuss. She networks her experience in these fields, making new contacts: training teachers in performing games and evolved her own workshop format for people with or without handicaps, which have already reached out to people interested in dance in places including the Staatstheaters in Wiesbaden and Darmstadt and Frankfurt's Dance Summer Festival (Co-Teaching mit Karoline Hinkfoth).
In 2023 she qualified as a co-ordinator for intimate scenes in theatre, film and television on a scholarship from Hessen Film und Medien GmbH.
