The Dutch soprano Barbara Haveman is back at Oper Frankfurt, where she sang the title role in Tosca, Minnie (La Fanciulla del West) and Amelia Grimaldi (Simon Boccanegra) to sing Hélène in Les Vêpres siciliennes. This very successful and much sought after singer's recent engagements have included Tosca at the National Theatre in Prague and Stuttgart Opera, Amelia (Un ballo in maschera) and Elisabeth (Tannhäuser) at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Peking, Lisa (Pique Dame), Amelia and Amelia Grimaldi at the Vienna State Opera, Elisabeth (Don Carlos) at the Semperoper in Dresden and Hamburg State Opera and her debut at La Scala Milan, singing Minnie. Future engagements include Elsa in Lohengrin in Marseille (2018). Other places where she has sung in recent seasons have included the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Cologne Opera, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Monte-Carlo and Strassburg.
